Take your asana practice to the next level and build firm foundations for a lifelong practice of yoga. Learn about anatomy, alignment, and mechanics of some of the most essential yoga poses which show up in every yoga class. These fundamental postures are also incredibly complex and are often practiced incorrectly.
Through a series of fun exercises, which build upon each other, you will gain a deeper understanding of the sun salutations, its postures and the transitions between them. This workshop will give you a set of tools so you can practice and finally master all the poses which make up the sun salutations, avoid injury and get the most out of your yoga practice.
Level: Suitable for both beginners and intermediate practitioners.
What we will work on:
Proper alignment in downward facing dog
Chaturanga aka “the shoulder shredder” - how to practice it correctly and how to save your shoulders
Chaturanga - upward facing dog transition
Jumpings from standing forward fold into chaturanga and from downward facing dog into standing forward fold
Optional extras - whatever you would still like to learn.
